ADVOCACY

Presented to a woman whose bold accomplishments have resulted in increased community awareness and action on issues of social concern (i.e., labor, environment, and human rights).

ARTS

Presented to a woman who has excelled in the performance, service or teaching of creative arts ( i.e., educator, artist, performing artist).

BUSINESS, MANAGEMENT, INDUSTRY & LABOR

Presented to a woman who has exhibited superior ability and accomplishment as an entrepreneur or in a company, business, organization or association.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Presented to a woman who has shown outstanding achievement as a volunteer, contributing to the betterment of the neighborhood and/or community.

PROFESSIONS

Presented to a woman who has excelled in her chosen field within an organization, business, or government gency (i.e., teacher, lawyer, doctor, clergywoman, politician, journalist).

SPORTS, FITNESS & WELLNESS

Presented to a woman who has excelled in sports, fitness and/or wellness; has shown outstanding leadership and mentorship abilities in promoting sports, fitness and wellness (i.e., sports fitness pro, physical therapist, teacher, athlete).

STUDENT

Presented to a young woman for outstanding achievement as a high school student. (Please use a student nomination form.) To help the Student Honoree achieve her life goals after graduating from high school, the YWCA West Central Michigan's Board of Directors will present her with the $1000 Judy Lloyd Student Leadership Award.*

* Please note that if the Leadership Award is not used for tuition, books, fees, or supplies and equipment related to the honoree's education or training program it is considered taxable income and must be claimed on her tax return as specified in the Revenue Act of 1986. Please consult a tax specialist for further assistance.
