YWCA Domestic Crisis Center Wish List
For those fleeing situations of domestic violence, they all too often leave with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Because of generous community support, the YWCA is able to provide many of the things they need. Many other items are offered by our community to help ease the uncomfortable situation of living in a place that is not one’s own home. Below is a "Wish List" of those items that helps the YWCA provide a nurturing, safe place for the hundreds of women and children that turn to us for help each year.
Thank you for your generosity!

YWCA Child Sexual Abuse Treatment Services Wish List
For children victimized by sexual abuse, play is a key element in their therapy and healing. Without the words to verbalize what they've experienced, children express how they feel and think in other ways – through art, games, with dolls. The YWCA is constantly challenged to find ongoing sources of these items which quickly become ragged or depleted entirely as more than 300 children annually turn to us to learn to deal with the trauma they've survived.
Below is a Wish List of items most needed by the YWCA's Child Sexual Abuse Treatment Services and the children we see. Thank you for your generosity!
- Washable paints
- Magic markers
- Finger paints and paper
- Pipe cleaners
- Craft sticks

- Puppets (animal, people, scary and nice)
- Doll-house size figures of various races
- Standard games (Sorry!, matching games, Jenga®, checkers)
- Polaroid film

- Healthy kid-food for children’s therapy groups (long shelf-life; no candy please)

General Needs
The YWCA is always grateful for donations of goods, services, and funding that support the general operations of the organization. Donations such as office supplies, kitchen/break room supplies, specialty services will reduce the burden placed on our operating budget. Unrestricted financial support is appreciated for the fulfillment of administrative and facility services that are necessary for the successful delivery of service but not allowable as expenses within many of our government grant contracts from which our direct service operations are funded.
