The YWCA's Open Circle luncheon is designed to powerfully highlight the impact of personal philanthropy in the lives of women and children. This year, we will hear from Elizabeth Smart, whose kidnapping as a child and subsequent rescue months later informs her nationwide advocacy work on behalf of victims of abuse today. She has committed her life to helping others understand the fundamental ways our culture must change if we want women and children to be safe. Guests will leave inspired and motivated. This luncheon fundraiser includes both men and women and offers guests the opportunity to significantly support critical YWCA services.
We are looking forward to a great crowd joining us to hear from Elizabeth Smart on March 16! Open Circle is a table-hosted event, with volunteer Table Captains who host a table at the event by gathering at least nine guests to both attend the luncheon AND commit to a YWCA gift of at least $100.
For those who would like to attend the event, but aren't sitting with a Table Captain, please reserve individual seats with a donation of $100 or more for each reservation by March 3. There will be assigned seating at the event, so if you wish to attend with someone we ask that you please reserve your seats together. To reserve seats, contact Lauren Sikkema at email or 616.426.3716. Complimentary child care is available (please reserve by March 3).
Interested in hosting a table? Great! Volunteer Table Captains can sign up through February 17 by contacting Lauren Sikkema at email or 616.426.3716. The YWCA will provide you with all the materials you need to be successful - scripts, confirmation notes, etc. Note: All Table Captains will be invited to an exclusive meet-and-greet with Elizabeth Smart the morning of March 16.
